Opening Night ConcertBe Fabulous in Winnipeg! The Rainbow Harmony Project 50 voiced mixed choir (winners 2 years running of the best mixed adult choir at the Winnipeg Music Festival) are very excited about preparing a fabulous concert to open Unison 2010 in Winnipeg.
Special guests include Deborah Romeyn and Edward Ledson. Edward Ledson is a fixture in Winnipeg's arts scene, (what is he, a bathtub?) Edward combines a career of performing, directing and designing, having graced stages across the country from Victoria to Charlottetown. He stirred Trouble with a capital "T" at Rainbow Stage and choreographed a plant (Little Shop of Horrors @ Persephone), sang for Mary Kay (Shirley McLaine) and directed animals into the arc (Noye's Fludde for Manitoba Chamber Orchestra), performed in over 100 shows at the Hollow Mug and costumed 5 seasons of CTV's the Rockets, chatted with Capote and designed the Canada Games ceremonies and "hey, he's still here!"
Deborah Romeyn – feet firmly planted in the Prairies, eyes focused on the human spirit. She is Manitoba’s original renaissance woman – high school biology teacher by morning, massage therapist by afternoon, singer/songwriter by inspiration. Deborah’s songs speak of common experience – renewed love in a long-standing relationship, winter weather, carefree weekend days – that she links in metaphorical ways to life on the Prairies and on the shores of Lake Winnipeg. website
